“Life is like a game of Chess, changing with each move” (Chinese proverb).

Chess is a very popular activity at MRGS. We have a number of Senior and Junior teams who play other schools in the Second Term. There are also a number of regulars who come every week to challenge each other and perfect their moves. It is a great game to test your skills; as Bobby Fisher said : “A strong memory, concentration, imagination, and a strong will is required to become a great Chess player”. If you have never played chess before but would like to give it a try come along to E1; “Every Chess master was once a beginner” (Chernev). You never know, you might be the next Bobby Fischer.
