Physical Education and Health - Akoranga Whakakori
He oranga manawa,
He pikinga waiora.
Positive feelings in your heart will raise your sense of self worth.
Physical Education and Health are seen as an important element in the overall development of Students at MRGS. Core PE is taught through to Year 13, allowing students to gain skills, confidence and enjoyment from movement and physical activity beyond what is commonly offered in New Zealand schools.
MRGS is lucky to have outstanding facilities for our students to enjoy. A newly completed Gymnasium along with our existing buildings, fields and swimming pool allow students to participate in a variety of activities in a comfortable environment.
The department is well served with 12 full time Teachers. The staff are well qualified and drawn together from a wide variety of backgrounds and ages. The PE Staff are passionate about helping and encouraging all of our students to become motivated and enthusiastic students of Physical Education.
