Sports Academies 2013

In 2013 MRGS will continue to offer a sports academy program designed to enhance individual performance and sport related skills for high achieving sports people in their chosen field. The aim is to provide opportunities for talented students to train in the hours of daylight, with highly qualified coaches throughout the school year.

2012 Success

MRGS is extremely proud of the continued success, commitment and improvement of all its Academy teams in 2012. The Girls Hockey team has had an outstanding year, competing in the U15A grade competition for the first time. They are currently the only undefeated team after 8 rounds and are looking forward to this week’s final against Diocesan. The Boys Hockey team also competed in the U15A grade for the first time and although the step up in competition was huge the boys improved with every game. The future for both of these team’s look bright with a large number of players returning in 2013. The Boys Football team also had a big year competing in the U15A grade competition for the first time, finishing the season in a commendable 8th position. While both the Intermediate and Junior Netball teams competed well in their competitions.
