Digital Photography and Photoshop - an Introduction

Get the most from your digital camera!  Course will cover basic composition and camera functions, downloading photographs to the computer, manipulating images using Photoshop Elements, scanning and printing, creating slideshows, burning to disc and more. Your own camera is essential - both compact or DSLR cameras are suitable for this course

Floristry/ Fresh Flower Arranging - Beginners to Intermediate

Our experienced florist will introduce you to the principles of floral design and show you how to create many different styles of arrangements, including hand tied bouquets. From week two, flowers and foliage will be required for this course, but students can choose flowers to meet their budget or what is available seasonally in their own gardens.

Painting with Oils (Landscapes)

Artist Ron Gribble will demonstrate the practical methods he has used over a successful 35 year career.  Gain tips on how to paint beautiful landscapes.  You will learn how to paint fast and loose, but accurate.  A thoroughly enjoyable course where you will be amazed at what you can achieve.  Materials are necessary for this course - a list will be sent to enrolled students.  (You can learn more about  Ron Gribble and his art at http://www.rongribble.com)

Picture Framing

  • Time: 7-9pm
  • Term 1: starts Tuesday 12 February 2013
  • Term 2: starts Tuesday 14 May 2013
  • Held every Tuesday for 7 weeks
  • Fee $95

Learn basic picture framing techniques including cutting of mats, mouldings and glass; assembly and finishing of frame.  Bring picture on the night to frame - beginners please bring a picture size A4 or smaller.  (No canvases, pastels or embroideries).  $10 is payable to the tutor for use and maintenance of his tools.  Framing materials not included in fee.  Class limited to 10 students.
