Ayurveda is a traditional health care practise from India, which focuses on diet as a means to maintain good health and prevent diseases.  This course will introduce you to some of the key principles of Ayurveda and methods of cooking for improving digestion, overcoming food intolerances, maintaining healthy weight and improving immunity.  You will learn to make everyday food that is tasty and fast using an ancient culinary art for the modern-day individual.  $28 payable to tutors on the first night for course ingredients.

Cake Decorating: Celebration Cakes (Cupcakes and Novelty Cakes)

Highly experienced cake decorating tutor Florinda will teach you how to decorate children's novelty cakes and cupcakes.  Class suitable for beginners.  Materials and some utensils required from week 2.  $10 payable to tutor on the first night towards demonstration materials.

Cake Decorating: Sugar Flowers

Chinese Yum Cha

Mediterranean Cooking: A Taste of Spain, France, Morocco, Turkey, Greece & More!

This class invites you to travel to Italy, France, Spain, Morocco, Greece, Turkey and Egypt.  In each class you will prepare two or three classic or favourite dishes from some of these countries.  Recipes will include lamb tagine, fettuccine alla pizzaiola, moussaka, cheese pastries (borek), couscous, yufkali pilaf, foccacia and more.  You will learn new techniques and be introduced to exotic spices.

 

Moroccan Cooking

Pastry and Bread

Make delicious sweet and savoury recipes for breakfast, brunch and coffee time. Learn tips on how to work with both ready made and home made pastry.  Get creative as you fold, mould, stuff, twist, plait and roll it.  You will also learn how to make different types of bread, such as Turkish, pita and foccaccia.

Raw Food

Raw food can lead to a life without disease, weakness and injury, and can assist in permanent weight loss and a significant increase in energy.  This class gives you a bit of science, food tastings and demos and a good dollop of advice on how to get there.

 

South American Cooking

This is an opportunity to enjoy exotic cuisine from different parts of South America.  Jesus is an experienced native Peruvian chef.  $32 to be paid to tutor on first night for all course ingredients.
