Youth MP for Mt Roskill 2019

Youth MP for Mt Roskill 2019 150 150 admin

In 2019, the Youth Parliament will sit again! Do you want to be the Youth MP for New Zealand’s most diverse electorate, MT ROSKILL?

Every MP, electorate or list, will get to select a Youth MP to represent their electorate and advocate for issues that young people face at the 2019 Youth Parliament.

If you fit the criteria below, you could be the next Youth MP for Mt Roskill.

Do you live or go to school in the Mt. Roskill electorate?

Will you be 16-18 years old on 19 October 2018?

Are you active in the community and passionate about advocating for youth issues?

Can you take on a 6-month assignment (with training) from 1 March to 31 August 2019?

Are you available to take an all-expenses paid trip to Parliament from 16 to 17 July 2019?

Are you prepared to work within the protocols and behavioural expectations of a Youth MP?

If that sounds like you, then post on the Page or send to michael.wood@parliament.govt.nz a video of yourself of about a minute and a half to two minutes long, explaining your VISION for the future of Mt Roskill and the future of New Zealand. Show us your CONNECTION to the electorate, too. We want someone who really knows and loves their COMMUNITY.

Get that video in by 30 SEPTEMBER to be in the running. We will follow up with an election-style process where you may have to speak in front of and be voted for by your peers.

We look forward to all your great entries!
