‘Isope ‘Akau’ola and Mele Taumoeanga (from Level 2 Dance) were awarded scholarships to take part in The New Zealand Dance Company – Winter School. This involved a week long dance intensive in the second week of the holidays. They had technique classes with company members and choreographic workshops to create movement with other students. At the end of the week ‘Isope and Mele performed at The Auckland War Memorial Museum and Pah Homestead. Their performance was based on an exhibition at the museum called Are We There Yet? – Women and Equality and Aotearoa. We are very proud of ‘Isope and Mele for their success.
