During Term 3 we were blessed to have the Pasifika film maker brother and sister duo of Samoan Director Stallone Vaiaoga-Ioasa and Producer Dinah Vaiaoga-Ioasa visit our students to talk about film making.
Stallone spoke about his background, including graduating with a conjoint Bachelor of Arts & Law degree from the University of Auckland and his decision to pursue a career in film making instead. The pair described their experience making their first two films (“Three Wise Cousins” and “Hibiscus and Ruthless”) and promoted their latest film “Take Home Pay.” Special thanks to Vicky Bogle, the Head of Media studies, for helping to arrange the visit.
