Talofa lava!

My name is Zachariah Alaimoana. I’m Samoan and NZ European & I come from Māngere Bridge just down the road from central Auckland. My involvement within Roskill has been representing our school in basketball and many Pasifika Leader programs. My interests are music, playing basketball, eating Polynesian food and spending time with friends and family (e.g kuga’i and youth😊).

I really love the sense of togetherness and community within MRGS. The friendships and relationships I’ve built with peers, teachers and anyone in between, have made the time I spend at MRGS really awesome.

After leaving MRGS, I aspire to study Bachelor of Arts and Health Science, with a health related career in mind.

A few tips I suggest that may help you throughout the lockdown is listening to music, trying out new things and doing exercise, while looking after you and your family’s health. Also please stay informed with the details our government provide for lockdown, as well as keeping healthy and sanitised. If you are able to, download google classroom and constantly check your school gmail account for work your teachers have assigned to you.

Also please contact your teachers if you are unable to access these resources, so you can be provided with a different way of receiving work. Make some time for school work as often as you can, but don’t over do it and make time for rest too.

Keep in touch with me the other head prefects if you would like! We’d love to hear from you ❤️

Alofa Atu & God bless aiga
