The MRGS Health Clinic is staffed by three full-time nurses, and a part-time doctor, physiotherapist and psychologist.
Between us, we have over 70 years’ experience in health and can offer your child a holistic and competent approach to their care. Our clinic facilities provide adequate privacy for students with four consultation rooms, a treatment room and rest space. We work towards supporting students to be the healthiest and happiest versions of themselves.
How to make an appointment
Appointments can be made by visiting Student Services and speaking to our friendly receptionist. We also have a Facebook page “MRGS Nurses” with an online booking feature for nurse, doctor or physiotherapist appointments.
In addition to nursing cares, a range of medications (under standing orders) can be supplied to students as needed. Nurses also carry out a health check with new students to identify any issues which may impact on learning. For example, problems with vision or hearing. Nurses work to support student-led activities throughout the year including the health council, health expo & youth health forums.
A full range of medical care is provided by our school doctor onsite twice a week. Students are able to book their own appointments or can be referred by the nurses.
For physical injury and rehabilitation support, our onsite physiotherapist is available three days a week.
A visiting psychologist works with students on an individual basis once a week. A collaborative approach is used to promote psychological wellbeing.
