Out-of-Zone Enrolments – Procedures, Dates and Deadlines

Thank you for your interest in enrolling your child at Mount Roskill Grammar School.

The school will receive out-of-zone applications for 2026 for all year levels. Applications close at 4pm on Wednesday 27th August, 2025. The Board of Trustees will then determine the number of out-of-zone applicants it will accept at each level and, if necessary, hold a ballot on Wednesday 3rd September, 2025. All applicants will then be informed of the outcome of the ballot by email.

Out-of-zone application forms are available from this link here or available from the school office.  Out-of-zone applications made after the closing date will not be eligible for the ballot.

Applications close: Wednesday 27th August 2025 at 4pm. Ballot day is Wednesday 3rd September 2025. Results of the ballot will be emailed.

If you live out of zone and want to enrol a new student for 2026, you must do this by the closing date. The closing date applies to all out-of-zone families, even if you have a child at MRGS now, or had a child who used to come here, or you are a parent who went to MRGS.

Out of zone applications received after 4.00pm Wednesday 27 August will be considered late and will not be included in the ballot.
