Mt Roskill Grammar School is an excellent choice of school for International students. We are known for high academic standards, offer a variety of musical, sporting and academic opportunities and have a multicultural campus that is welcoming and friendly to students of all cultures. We have an established International Students’ department and are experienced at helping you settle into a new life in New Zealand. We will introduce you to a buddy who speaks your language and is available for you to ask questions about courses and programmes in the school.
Fee-paying students have come to study at our school from countries such as Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong, mainland China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, India, Vietnam, Tonga, Fiji, Sweden and Germany.
The Tuition fee for 2012 is $14,800. This includes ESL lessons if required. Homestay costs $230 per week for 46 weeks per year. Other costs include insurance, $500; uniform, around $500; NCEA examinations, $383.30; and pocket money. Some courses have an additional cost.

Course confirmation and English test 26th/27th January
- Term 1: Thursday 2nd February – Thursday 5th April (Yr 9, Yr 13 and new students are welcomed on 2nd Feb)
- Term 2: Monday 23 April – Friday 29th June
- Term 3: Monday 16 July – Friday 28th September
- Term 4: Monday 15th October – Tuesday 11 December
