Lacrosse is a fast paced, exciting game, which is relatively new sport to Mount Roskill Grammar. Lacrosse is available for Boys and Girls. Beginners are most welcome. For 2018, Girls have two squads in Division 1 and 2 and we have 1 Boys team.

When is Lacrosse played?

Lacrosse is played on a Thursday afternoon 4 – 5pm (home and away games) during Term 2 and early Term 3 for Girls

The boys compete in Term 3 with preseason training taking place in term 2.

Auckland Championships are held early Term 3 once the season is complete.

What are the training commitments?

Depending on the team selected for, trainings will be once or twice a week. It is expected that you develop your fitness and stick skills outside of formal trainings.

What days are the games played?

Games are played on Thursday afternoons.

Is there a cost associated with Lacrosse?

Lacrosse’s sports fees are $75 for the season.

Do I need my own equipment?

Students are expected to have their own stick, goggles, mouth guard and boots. Entry level sticks and goggles are approximately $70 each.
